A Florida man reportedly walked into a tattoo shop with a simple request: he wanted a massive octopus tattoo covering his back, complete with long tentacles stretching across his skin.
But somewhere between the conversation and the tattoo chair, a bizarre misunderstanding allegedly turned his dream design into a nightmare.
According to the story, the tattoo artist apparently misheard “tentacles” as “testicles” and proceeded to ink a huge pair across the man’s back. Because the customer had to lie face down throughout the session, he had no way of seeing what was being drawn until the work was completely finished.
When he finally stood up and looked in the mirror, the man was reportedly stunned by what he saw.
Instead of the giant sea creature he had requested, his back featured a design that looked nothing like an octopus—and was certainly not what he had intended to walk out of the shop with.
The man reportedly became so upset that he immediately arranged another appointment to begin the tattoo-removal process.
The bizarre story has since left people asking the same question: Would you keep the tattoo, pay to have it removed, or confront the artist?
